How you can help!

One of the simplest and most meaningful ways to support Mary Graham Children’s Foundation is by making a tax-deductible donation at any level.  No donation is too small.  Every donation is designed for people who wish to support local foster youth. Mary Graham Children’s Foundation ALWAYS PUTS OUR KIDS FIRST! Your gift will allow us to provide a variety of support services to local foster youth who have few or no resources during their most trying times. The Foundation’s goal is to help our kids develop both life and job skills through education and art and music therapy programs.

With your help we can also reduce the stress and great financial burdens put upon foster youth who want to make their way in the world. Not only do we assist them in attending a trade school or college, but more importantly, we ensure that they continue receiving necessary care by pairing them with an adult mentor to assist them make their dreams a reality when it would have otherwise been impossible.

You can also help by giving your time.  We are always looking for mentors for our students.  Volunteers are needed at our events.

Your donation to the Foundation funds our Trade School and College Scholarship Program. This unique program makes it possible for bright, young adults with no parental support to attend college or trade schools and move onto fruitful careers. Without your support, these foster youth may not have the opportunity to further their education, and may never realize their hopes and dreams.

The support you give will also help ensure that the time our foster youth spend in the Shelter will be as comforting as possible. Your donations allow for the normal childhood outings like taking in a ball game, going to the movies, or attending church. It also allows the bringing in of outside specialist to work with the children on projects such as artwork and music lessons. Without you, these type of activities would just not exist.

The Mary Graham Foundation is a private, nonprofit 501 (c) 3 organization and your financial donations are fully deductible. No donation is too large or small.

The ability to make a tax-free IRA distribution to charity has been permanently extended by the Protecting Americans from tax Hikes Act of 2015 (2015 PATH Act). Individuals age 70 1/2and older can distribute otherwise taxable traditional and Roth IRA amounts directly to certain tax-exempt charities. The distributions are call qualified charitable distributions. They are federal income tax-free to the donor. A qualified charitable distribution counts as a distribution for purposes of the required minimum distribution. Therefore, you can arrange to simply donate amounts that you would otherwise be required to receive (and pay tax on). For more information on the Law change, please contact your accountant.
